July 13-15 – Westminster, SC – We welcomed youth from Kentucky and South Carolina to Camp Courage for a week of training – spiritual and physical. Each day consisted of morning classes, afternoon activities and evening services. Teachers for the morning classes included Dorman Pollett, Canada, Billy Hill, SC, Bobby Quinn, NC, Shauna Phylow, SC, Tim Crunkleton, GA, Tim Johnson, SC, and John and Marshelle Killian, SC.
Afternoon activities included hiking, swimming in the river (jumping off high rocks, too) with Tim Johnson and family, swimming at the local pool, hiking up Curahee Mountain (Band of Brothers), Toccoa, GA, physical training with Captain Kevin Mangan and the JROTC at Walhalla High School, Paintball at The Rock Church with Pastor Scott Lish, and a special afternoon with speaker Captain Phil Piazza of the famed Merrill’s Marauder’s. Whew! What a jam packed week we had.
And to top it off on each of the final 3 nights “Youth Explosion” was held at The Rock Church. Worship team, Catalyst, led the group into awesome times of worship each service. Speakers for the “Youth Explosion” were Dorman Pollett, Scott Lish and Craig Hughes. Each day we saw the light of Jesus grow stronger in the hearts and eyes of the young people. We want to thank each and everyone who helped out by participating or donating finances, food or equipment. Without the team effort we could not have had the successful week we had. And very special thanks go to Rehoboth Assembly of God, Toccoa, GA, and Pastor Lester Cowan for allowing us to use their church van for the week!!!
