John & Marshelle marry in January 1997.
John and Marshelle were married in January 1997 and have been in full time ministry for 9 years. After finishing Faith Training Center, a missionary training school located in Walhalla, South Carolina, they traveled to Birmingham, England to work for a year with Betel of England. Betel is a Christian community that ministers to drug addicts and alcoholics. After their year in England, John and Marshelle spent eight months in the United States traveling and ministering. In May of 2001, John and Marshelle traveled to Siliguri, India where they planned to spend a year working with Indian Evangelical Team (IET), a church planting organization. John taught daily in the Bible Schools and traveled with the evangelism team. After the tragedy of September 11th John and Marshelle were asked to return to the United States for safety reasons. Unsure of how the Lord would use them, they returned to the United States without question. Both John and Marshelle have been so excited to watch as God continues to supernaturally open doors both domestic and abroad. Divine appointments fill their calendars. No two meetings are ever the same as John ministers under a very strong anointing from God. God not only uses John to bring a powerful word but He also uses John with prophecy and power gifts. John and Marshelle both desire to see the body of Christ blessed and touched by the Holy Spirit.
John and Marshelle have both traveled back to India since September 11 - John twice, Marshelle once. They both have a desire to travel there again as the Lord leads. Both will travel to Mexico in Summer 2007 and plans are under way for both to travel to Canada with a group in 2008.
John was saved in a Rodney Howard-Brown meeting in Louisville, Kentucky in 1994. Prior to having this “mac truck” encounter John spent 16 ½ years addicted to alcohol and drugs. John lived a life in and out of jails and mental institutions and jumped from job to job. John spent 8 years in the military after graduating from high school. He has managed restaurants and has driven 18 wheeler trucks. Due to his natural father’s military career, John has traveled all over Central and South America. Due to his Heavenly Father’s leading, John has traveled and ministered in New York City, Los Angeles, New Foundland, Guyana, England, Scotland, Wales, India, Spain, France, Jamaica, North Africa, Kenya, Tanzania, Mexico and Canada.
Marshelle grew up in a Methodist family and was saved at the age of twelve. Early on Marshelle had a desire to work with young people and with the elderly and she did both in her childhood church. Marshelle has a B.A. in Sociology with a minor in Psychology from Clemson University. Marshelle spent many years working with the local Department of Disabilities and Special Needs Board as a counselor to adults with mental retardation and as an Early Interventionist with special needs children. After spending 6 years traveling with John in the ministry Marshelle has taken a break from the road and is working locally. Marshelle spent 2 1/2 years with Stephens County Family and Children Services as a Social Services Case Manager in the Child Protective Services Department. Marshelle is now a Service Coordiantor with Oconee Disabilities and Special Needs Board in Seneca, SC.
